It was a smiling Saturday afternoon for the Fans of the Shooting Stars Football Club Ibadan, as the club rained havoc upon the visiting Mountain of Fire FC of Lagos.  Having lost 0-1 to Lobi Stars in their opening game of the season, the pressure was on Coach Ikhana and his boys to deliver and they were certainly up for the task.
Earlier before the game, the Management of the club had slashed tickets price by half inorder to encourage supporters given the disastrous nature their campaign had begun last week. There was however no repeat of such this time around however as Wasiu Jimoh bagged a first half hattrick and MFM FC were fortunate not to concede more goals in the second half. Quickfire goals on the 4th and 19th minutes were enough to unsettle whatever team talks the MFM coach may have given his boys before the match and on the 36th, Jimoh duly wrapped up his hattrick and all 3 points in the process.
After the game, Coach Kadri Ikhana, surprisingly informed newsmen that he felt his team was still poor in terms of its coordination in the attack and defence. The coach however said the team would improve upon this performance in its next game away at Giwa Football Club of Jos on March 6.
